Call `sandbox.kill()` in Python / `await sandbox.kill()` in JS/TS.
Confirm with `sandbox.is_running()` which returns False after a successful kill.
Kill unused sandboxes promptly to stop billing/usage accrual.

Known gotchas

kill() returns True if it terminated a live sandbox and False if the sandbox was not found - check the return value.
Killing is permanent; you cannot reconnect afterwards. Use `pause()` instead if you may need to resume.
A sandbox that reaches its timeout auto-terminates (lifecycle on_timeout default is 'kill'); set on_timeout 'pause' if you want to keep it.
