Steps

  1. Decide between OAuth2 (recommended) or API key authentication
  2. For OAuth2, create a Custom Application in Current RMS to obtain a Client ID and Secret, then authenticate with a standard OAuth2 client library
  3. For API keys, generate a key and send it via the apikey request parameter or the X-AUTH-TOKEN header
  4. Include your subdomain on every request via the subdomain parameter or the X-SUBDOMAIN header
  5. Store the access token/API key securely and refresh OAuth2 tokens before they expire
