Authenticate requests to the Crosschq Partner API v2 using the credentials provided; consult the Partner API v2 documentation in the Crosschq Help Center (support.crosschq.com) for the exact authentication scheme and base URL
Trigger a reference request by calling the reference request creation endpoint with the candidate's name and email; Crosschq sends the candidate an email or SMS asking them to provide their referees
Send reminders to candidates who have not yet submitted their referees using the reminder endpoint with the reference request ID; this is useful for automated follow-up without manual recruiter intervention
Subscribe to Crosschq webhooks to receive real-time notifications when the reference request status changes (e.g., candidate submitted referees, a referee completed a survey, all references complete)
When all references are complete, download the PDF report via the report download endpoint using the reference request ID and store or attach it to the candidate record in your ATS

Crosschq's Partner API v2 is not self-service; credentials are only issued after contacting Crosschq support and completing partner onboarding — account for this lead time before committing to an integration deadline
