Create a GCP service account, enable the Earth Engine API on its project, and register/link the project for Earth Engine access
Generate a service account JSON private key and use it to initialize the Earth Engine client or sign REST calls
Check the project's noncommercial quota tier (Community Tier by default) for concurrent request, EECU-hour, and batch task limits
Monitor monthly EECU-hour usage, which resets on the 1st of each month at midnight Pacific Time
Known gotchas
fixed quotas (per-request compute time, memory footprint, payload size, task queue length) cannot be raised by changing tiers
exhausting the monthly EECU-hour allotment doesn't hard-block usage — it drops the project into a lower-parallelism mode until reset
