Steps

  1. Record and upload the source video as a Zoom cloud recording first — simulive plays back an existing cloud recording rather than a separate upload flow.
  2. Create the webinar via POST /users/{userId}/webinars, then configure simulive_settings to point at the cloud recording to be played back.
  3. Verify is_simulive is actually reflected as true on the webinar resource after creation, since it has been reported to return false even after simulive_settings were submitted.
  4. Keep a host/producer present during the live send to run chat and Q&A in real time even though the video itself is pre-recorded.
  5. For a recurring cadence of simulive sessions, pair simulive_settings with the webinar's recurrence configuration rather than recreating the webinar for each airing.
