4. Verify the interceptor or AGRD is designed and tested to one of the referenced standards named in the code text (e.g., ASME A112.14.3, ASME A112.14.4, CSA B481.1, PDI G101 or PDI G102) for the specific edition adopted
5. Look up the retention-capacity table referenced by 1003.3 (grease retention capacity vs. flow-through rate) in the same edition and confirm any local amendment overriding the table
6. Confirm installation follows manufacturer's instructions as required by the code, and check for any local health-department or industrial-waste ordinance requirements layered on top of the IPC baseline
