Steps

  1. Register an app in the Azure portal (multitenant account type), grant it the Dynamics 365 Business Central API.ReadWrite.All application permission, and admin-consent it
  2. Create a client secret on the app registration and record the client ID, secret, and OAuth 2.0 token endpoint (replacing "organizations" with your tenant ID)
  3. On the Intercompany Setup page in each partner company, configure the Microsoft Entra Application Card with the app credentials, enable it, and grant consent
  4. Exchange Connection URL, Company ID, and Intercompany ID between partner companies via Intercompany Setup > Actions > Connection Details
  5. Map each company's chart of accounts and dimensions to the shared intercompany chart of accounts/dimensions in both directions
