Check WSDOT commercial-vehicle bridge and route restrictions before moving an oversize crane load through Washington State

Steps

1. Request a free WSDOT Traveler Information API access code by submitting an email address through the WSDOT Traffic API portal.
2. Call the CVRestrictionData REST endpoint with the access code to retrieve current commercial-vehicle bridge weight/height and seasonal load restrictions, filtered by route.
3. Cross-reference the returned restriction records against the crane transport's planned route, travel height, and axle weights.
4. Call the HighwayAlerts endpoint for the same corridor to check for active construction or lane closures that could affect the move window.
5. Re-pull both endpoints close to the move date, since restrictions and alerts change as conditions on the ground change.
