Confirm your OAuth client has access to the Business Profile Performance API (businessprofileperformance.googleapis.com), a separate API from Business Information and Account Management
Replace calls to older performance-report methods with locations.fetchMultiDailyMetricsTimeSeries
Request specific daily metrics (e.g. views, calls, direction requests) with a date range in the request body
Handle per-location rate limits and batch multiple locations where the method supports it
Cross-reference location metadata (address, categories, hours) from the separate Business Information API, since performance data doesn't include it
Known gotchas
The old mybusiness.googleapis.com v4 monolithic API was retired; performance, information, accounts, and reviews now live on separate purpose-built APIs with separate base URLs
The Business Profile Q&A API was shut down in November 2025 - do not build workflows depending on it
Metric availability and field names have changed across API versions; verify current field names against the live reference rather than assuming parity with legacy reports
