Steps
Call the Timeline endpoint with location, a list of data-layer fields (e.g. precipitationIntensity, pollenTree), and timesteps (1m/1h/1d) plus startTime/endTime.
Parse the response's multiple timeline blocks, one per requested timestep.
For threshold-based monitoring, configure the On-Demand Events API with custom conditions or standard insight categories to detect forecasted weather events.
Note that Events API usage draws from a separate token-based 'eventsTimeline' product allocation, distinct from standard Timelines calls.

Known gotchas
Events API consumption is metered by tokens deducted per request, separate from the core Timelines API rate/plan limits — budget them independently.
Field availability varies by plan tier; requesting a field not included in your subscription errors rather than silently omitting it.
Timestep granularity affects both data resolution and cost — requesting 1-minute steps over long windows can be far more expensive than hourly/daily steps.
