Perform a multi-capture flow against a single authorization using Adyen's capture API

Verified steps

  1. Submit a full authorization for the order total, setting the capture delay to manual in your Adyen merchant account settings
  2. When the first shipment is ready, call the capture endpoint with the partial amount and the original PSP reference; record the capture PSP reference
  3. For each subsequent shipment, call the capture endpoint again with the remaining or partial amount and the same original PSP reference
  4. Ensure the sum of all capture amounts does not exceed the authorized amount; Adyen will reject over-captures
  5. On the final capture, optionally pass a flag indicating it is the last capture to allow the authorization hold to be released for any uncaptured remainder
  6. Reconcile capture PSP references in your order management system to track which shipment maps to which captured amount
