Create a new tree point asset in TreePlotter INVENTORY via a POST call

Steps

  1. Authenticate the same way as GET calls (TreePlotter Basic Auth plus apiKey query parameter) over HTTPS only.
  2. Build a JSON body matching the field schema returned by the metadata endpoint (backend field names, not UI labels).
  3. POST to https://pg-cloud.com/api/<folder>/<layer_path> to add the feature; point-type assets like trees require latitude and longitude in the body.
  4. For work-record POSTs (inspections/service records) instead of trees, include the target asset_id and layer_name rather than coordinates.
  5. Confirm success via the returned GeoJSON/confirmation payload and capture the new feature's Primary ID (PID) for later updates.
