Steps
Sign up for a trial through the Sportradar developer portal and select the sport/product you need (e.g. Soccer v4)
Note your trial key is valid for 90 days with a capped quota (roughly 1,000 calls per rolling 30-day period) and lower rate limits than production
Use the sandbox for your product on the developer portal to explore and test each endpoint's response shape before writing code
Call schedule-type endpoints such as daily schedules, competitor schedules, or live schedules, passing your trial key as a query parameter and the trial path segment in the URL
Track remaining quota via the developer account dashboard so you don't get locked out mid-integration
Known gotchas
Trial keys use a different base URL path (…/trial/v4/…) than production (…/production/v4/…) — mixing them up causes auth failures
Trial quota is small (about 1,000 calls/30 days) — plan test calls carefully rather than iterating repeatedly against live endpoints
Each Sportradar sport/product (soccer, NBA, MLB, etc.) has its own versioned API and separate trial signup — a key for one sport won't work against another
