Query Mux Data real-time monitoring metrics (CCV, rebuffering, playback failures)

Steps

1. Confirm your Mux Data property is on a Media plan — Monitoring metrics (sub-20-second latency, retained 24 hours) are only available to Media plan customers, distinct from the standard historical Data metrics.
2. Use the Real-Time/Monitoring API endpoints (under the Data API, e.g. the 'Monitoring' API reference) to pull the same data shown on the Real-Time Dashboard at 5-second aggregation.
3. Choose a metric: Current Concurrent Viewers (CCV), Current Rebuffering Percentage, Playback Failures by CCV, Video Startup Failures by Start Attempts, Exits Before Video Start by Start Attempts, Current Average Bitrate, or Video Startup Time.
4. Apply a breakdown dimension to group/filter results, e.g. ASN, CDN, Operating System, Player Name, Region, Stream Type, Sub-property ID, Video Series, Video Title, Mux Asset ID, Mux Livestream ID, or Mux Playback ID.
5. For dashboard-level views, note the Monitoring Dashboard itself only surfaces CCV by geography and Top Titles by CCV by default — use the API for the other dimension breakdowns.
6. Distinguish these real-time definitions from the standard (non-real-time) Mux Data QoE metrics, which use different measurement windows for similarly-named metrics.
