Steps
Register an app at the Uber developer dashboard, then email Uber Freight's API team to request the freight.loads OAuth scope; access must be approved and provisioned by an Uber Freight representative before calls will succeed.
Authenticate using OAuth 2.0 with the granted freight.loads scope.
Call the Loads API to generate a price quote for a shipment; quote windows can range from roughly two weeks ahead of pickup down to just a few hours before pickup depending on the lane.
Tender the load against the returned quote via the Loads API to book the shipment, or cancel the tender if the load is no longer needed.
Use the separate Tracking and Documents APIs, once provisioned, to retrieve shipment visibility and paperwork such as bills of lading after the load is tendered.
Known gotchas
API access is not self-serve — it requires manual scope approval and account provisioning by an Uber Freight representative, so budget for a request/response cycle before the integration can go live.
