Steps
Email ASI Integrations to request a test account; ASI provisions login credentials for the protected ESP Updates API documentation and sandbox
Review the version-specific API Resources, Look-up Tables, and Error Codes pages for ESP Updates API Version 5 before building
Use the Developer Console to validate GET calls against your product data and POST calls to submit updates/additions in the sandbox environment
Email ASI Integrations again once validated to request production credentials before posting live data
Keep all GET and POST calls within a single API version — ASI enforces per-version consistency and rejects mixed-version calls
Known gotchas
All calls (login, GET, POST) must stay within the same API version; you cannot GET in v5 and POST in an older/newer version
Breaking changes come with only a 90-day support window for the previous version before ASI drops it — integrations need active version-migration monitoring
Access is fully gated behind ASI-issued credentials tied to an ASI number; there is no public self-serve signup or open sandbox
