Steps

  1. Authenticate the user via /psapi/v3/mem/authenticate (cookie or token mode) with the X-PS-Api-Key header set
  2. Build a multipart/form-data POST to /psapi/v3/mem/image/upload
  3. Include the target gallery_id field and the image file (prefixed with @ in curl) as the file field
  4. To upload multiple files in one call, submit the file parameter as a form array
  5. Parse the response for the new image's ID and confirm placement in the target gallery
