Steps
Create an S3 bucket in the same AWS account as your Chime SDK meeting and grant s3:PutObject/s3:PutObjectAcl to the mediapipelines.chime.amazonaws.com service principal.
Call CreateMediaCapturePipeline, specifying the source (an active Chime SDK meeting) and the S3 sink configuration.
Monitor pipeline status via GetMediaCapturePipeline or ListMediaCapturePipelines.
Consume delivered artifacts — audio/video/composited files land in the bucket in near-real-time chunks throughout the meeting.
Call DeleteMediaCapturePipeline to stop capture explicitly, or let it end automatically when the meeting ends.
Known gotchas
The S3 bucket must live in the same AWS account as the Chime SDK meeting resource — cross-account sinks require extra bucket-policy/IAM setup that's easy to miss on first pass.
Artifacts are delivered in small chunks (up to a few seconds each) throughout the meeting rather than as one file at the end, so downstream processing needs to handle a stream of fragments, not a single finished recording.
