Note there are no prerequisites required to sit the IDL field exam
Schedule the hands-on field exam, which can be completed remotely; time limit is 1.5 hours
Demonstrate blower door testing per ASTM E779 and duct leakage testing per ASTM E1554 during the exam
Achieve the required passing score of 85% or higher (no written exam is administered)
Track 1,000 hours of IDL-related work experience over the 3-year cycle for exam-free recertification
