Documented steps

  1. Run mc admin decommission status ALIAS TARGET until the status reports Complete
  2. A Complete status means the migration finished successfully and the pool can be removed from the deployment
  3. If it shows Failed, restart with mc admin decommission start ALIAS TARGET and retry
  4. Once Complete, remove the old pool from the deployment per the decommission procedure
