Steps

1. Join openIDL as a member (carrier, vendor, or regulator) through its official onboarding process, since the Linux Foundation-hosted network requires membership to participate as a node.
2. Stand up a participating node on openIDL's Hyperledger Fabric-based infrastructure so your organization's underlying data stays under your own control rather than being centrally pooled.
3. Map your internal statistical or regulatory data to the relevant openIDL/openIDS data standard (e.g., the openIDS Homeowners Standard v1.0) so it is queryable in the format regulators expect.
4. When a regulator issues a Data Call on the network, run the corresponding transaction against your own node so only the requested aggregate or derived result — not the raw policy or claims data — is shared back to the network.
5. Track the concrete technical interfaces (APIs, SDKs, chaincode contracts) through openIDL's public GitHub organization and member wiki, since detailed integration specifics live there rather than on the public marketing site.
