Steps
Request an API key through Walk Score's professional API sign-up form.
Call the score endpoint with the address plus latitude/longitude (both required together) and your API key.
Add parameters to also retrieve Transit Score and Bike Score in the same call.
Check the response's status code, such as success, score pending, bad key, or quota exceeded, before using the score.
Follow Walk Score's branding requirements if you display the score publicly on a listing page.
Known gotchas
Coverage is limited to the US and Canada.
The free trial tier has a daily call quota — confirm current sign-up availability and limits before relying on it for production volume.
Server-side calls are required per Walk Score's terms; don't expose the API key in client-side code.
