Steps
Push the job offer to the driver's device (in-app push, SMS, or app notification) with job type and GPS-validated pickup location
Start an acceptance countdown/SLA window during which the driver can accept or decline
On accept, lock the job to that driver/truck and notify dispatch and the originating network
On decline or timeout, re-offer the job to the next available driver/truck
Confirm the driver's live location updates begin flowing once the job is accepted
Known gotchas
Acceptance SLA windows and re-offer logic are set by whichever network or dispatch platform originates the job (motor club vs. in-house TMS), so this workflow varies by integration, not a universal standard
Poor connectivity in the field can cause a driver's accept action to arrive late relative to the SLA window, leading to jobs being reassigned even though the driver did respond in time locally
