Confirm supervisory appraiser / trainee appraiser oversight rules and ratio limits

Steps

1. Confirm the AQB Criteria default: a supervisory appraiser may supervise up to three trainee appraisers at one time.
2. Confirm the supervisory appraiser must hold the required Certified credential (Residential or General, as applicable) and meet any additional AQB/state supervisory-specific requirements, such as a recent clean disciplinary history and completion of a supervisor/trainee course.
3. Check whether the state has its own program permitting supervision of more than three trainees under specific conditions.
4. Confirm supervisory responsibilities: the supervisor must review and co-sign the trainee's reports and is responsible for the trainee's work product.
5. Verify the current ratio and supervisory course requirements directly against the state board and AQB Criteria in effect, since the AQB has revised supervisory requirements over time.
